Let Us Stop the Genocide of Indigenous People in Sudan

Protest letter

To all that care

Dear Sir / Madam!

Since the outbreak of a new war in the Nuba Mountains on June 6th 2011, almost 30 months have passed. And since July 1st 2011, when all UN agencies along with practically all humanitarian organisations, professional observers and media left the scene, almost 29 months have passed.

All this time, the indigenous people of Nuba Mountains, Blue Nile and Abyei provinces, as well as Darfur, have been left practically alone to face their exterminators, dispatched in the air and on the ground by the military dictatorship in Khartoum lead by Omar Al-Bashir, charged with the worst atrocities by the International Criminal Court in The Hague. This war of extermination is thus taking place along the entire border between Sudan and the new Republic of South Sudan, the 193th member state of the UN, whose independence was proclaimed on July 9th 2011 in the presence of representatives of all the most important institutions on the planet.

On behalf of the civilians, mothers and fathers, children, old and sick people, bombarded every day by Russian-built Antonov bombers and Chinese-made MIG jets, besieged on armoured vehicles, tanks, horses and camels by the Sudanese army, Arab militias, mercenaries from the whole of Sahel and war profiteers from all over the world ... as well as on our own behalf – a few foreign eyewitnesses trying to help the native people cry for help by means of cameras, computers and satellite connections through which we teach them to access the World-wide Web and your conscience – from the depth of our souls, hearts and minds we protest against all global and national institutions that are not doing their duty, for which we have established them and for which they are also being paid by mankind.

We demand from the UN Security Council that it immediately secures a no-fly zone from the genocidal autocrats in Khartoum, and an end to the bombardment of those most innocent. From humanitarian organisations, who have so cowardly abandoned the most endangered just when they needed them the most, we demand that they immediately negotiate humanitarian corridors from the persecutors, along which basic humanitarian aid (means of pain relief, food, basic school supplies ...) will be able to reach without delay the altar of humanity, such as it is in 2013. We also demand from the major media establishments that they immediately end the great “COVER-UP” and join us in the heart of darkness on the border between the two Sudans, as their sacred mission and basic human compassion require.

The new war in the Republic of South Sudan has now been going on for a week, secretly orchestrated by the genocidal military dictatorship in Khartoum with a "let a slave kill a slave" tactic, which it also covertly uses in its southern provinces. This war threatens to lead to another Rwanda or Srebrenica, because of the apathy of the global community, especially the UN Security Council and the UN agencies that began to evacuate their personnel yesterday. We ask all of you that will be reached by this protest to please wake up! Please focus your attention on both Sudans! This is a historical trial for all of us that still care!

Thank you!

We wish you a merry Christmas and a happy New Year.
